How to "Sport" Well!

It’s getting warmer and for many of us, it is time to get our health and fitness together! So let’s talk working out. No, we aren’t going to discuss what workouts are better than the others or how to do a proper push up….

>This is about what to wear to the gym <

I will say that most people don’t really care about they wear to gym or how they look when they work out. Going to the gym and working out is about feeling comfortable and being able to wear clothes that you can sweat it. So it’s not about looking like you are ready to walk the red carpet or suiting up for church, it’s more about wearing some simple, comfortable clothes.
Now, as young adults, many of like to impress (especially when we are at the gym). So why not wear something nice and sporty? Let me give you a few lifeline trends that could help you look nice and also comfortable.

Personally, when I go the gym, I would like wear something rather fitted with dark tones. Side-note: we all know those older dudes at the gym that wear oversized or undersized clothing to the gym (which is rather disturbing)! I also like to wear comfortable soccer pants, just because sometimes the gym could be rather cold if the machines are by the door.
Also, Nike Free runs are a huge deal when it comes to going to the gym. These shoes are something to invest in! They are very comfortable and easy to move around in. No matter if you are running, lifting, walking free runs are a good pair to sport.
Now to be fair, this blog is for young adults and I can’t forget about the ladies that like to work out as well. Tori, is a 20 year old young adult that likes to rock a simple and comfortable attire to the gym as well! When I interviewed her, I asked her what is her favorite thing to wear to the gym and she responded with “anything from Adidas and Nike!” Tori is not much about brand but more about comfort. With a similar attire, she also wore a t-shirt, soccer pants (for the sake of the weather), and some Nike Roshes!

Lifeline

Spring is FINALLY here!

Destination: Michigan

This year’s spring came a little late out here in Michigan. It’s funny because in the last couple of weeks we, Michiganders were unpacking and “repacking” our winter clothes. Last week, Sunday was quite the day. It was a day where the cold kept coming but the sun kept shining.

For some Sunday’s are the days that people go to church and spend time with their family. For this post, I tried to find some trends that this model would particularly like and that could fit in with the weather + season. Since he is a young adult that attends church on Sundays I had to find the right look. If you take a look his trend it consists of a fur-collared jacket, with brown casual showers, a grandfather collared dress shirt, and some zipper-ripped black jeans. We made sure that there was a perfect mix between casual and dressy and that he could go to church and yet be able to spend time with his family (comfortably).

Like many, I like to “shop with a budget.” This outfit totaled out to be around: $260. The jacket is what made up for most of the cost totaling around $200. It is by Native Youth and was bought from Urban Outfitters. The shoes were from Call It Spring and were about $25 with free shipping. The material is has a “rubber-ish” texture and the sole is quite tough. I always, always suggest H & M. The black zipper-ripped jeans were on sale for $20 while the white grand-father shirt cost a measly amount of $10.

“I really like this look that Justin made out for Sunday afternoon. It is a little edgy but is still appropriate for setting such as family dinner and Sunday’s service. Good job, bro!” – Jaylin

What do you think?
Ready for the sunshine?
